MBA Information Evening at AIT
Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) will hold an information evening about its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme on Thursday 12 May.
The information session will take place in the coffee dock, located on the main campus from 6.30pm. It will feature a presentation about the master’s degree, followed by a question and answer session.
The MBA is recognised globally as a leading business qualification, which is designed for middle managers, senior executives and consultants. While there is a strong emphasis on academic content, much of the assessment relates to a variety of organisational contexts. Participants are required to engage with real-life problems, opportunities and dilemmas faced by organisations.
In order to gain entry to the MBA, applicants should normally have at least five years’ work experience, with three years in a management-related role, in addition to their academic qualifications. All qualified applicants are required to attend for interview.
The programme is taught on Friday afternoons and evenings, as well as occasional Saturdays. The next programme is scheduled to commence on Friday 2 September 2011. The fee for the academic year 2011-2012 is €7,850. The closing date for applications is Monday 18 July 2011, with interviews taking place between the 10 and 11 August 2011.
