HSE Community Games National Finals
Welcome from the President of AIT
You are very welcome to the HSE Community Games National Finals at Athlone Institute of Technology.
It is hard to believe that twelve months have passed since the institute hosted the National Finals for the first time. From the feedback we have received from participants, supporters and volunteers, we are delighted that the transition to Athlone has worked so well.
This year, we are confident that the national finals will be even better again. We have continued to invest in our facilities, and these improvements not only enhance the experience of students and faculty, but also contribute to the success of events such as the HSE Community Games National Finals.
I know, too, that the people and businessess of Athlone extend a heartfelt welcome to all supporters of, and participants in, the Games. There was a genuine air of anticipation and excitement in the town throughout the three weekends in 2009, and I have no doubt that this will be replicated on this occasion.
Finally, I would just like to wish the very best to each of the participants. I hope that your experience in the heats and finals of your chosen events is a positive one, and that you enjoy the occasion as much as possible.
I very much look forward to meeting as many of you as possible over this weekend, and hopefully at many HSE Community Games National Finals to come.
