Withdrawing from a Programme

To officially withdraw the student must complete an official AIT student withdrawal form and return it with their Student Identification Card to the Registration Office.

It is recommended that the student makes contact with either the Careers Office or their School prior to making this decision.

For fee purposes the date of receipt by the Registration Office of the written notification will be taken as the date of withdrawal.  Official withdrawal forms are available on the AIT internet and from the Registration Department and all of the Schools and Departments.

 

‘Free’ fee students

(a) ‘Free’ fee students who register and officially withdraw before 31 October will receive a refund of fees paid (including any material fees)

(b) ‘Free’ fee students who register and officially withdraw from 31 October to 31 January inclusive are liable for payment of the Student Services fee, AND half tuition will be claimed on the student’s behalf. 

(c) 'Free’ fee students who register and officially withdraw after 1 February are liable for payment of the Student Contribution fee.  In addition, full tuition will be claimed on the student’s behalf.
