Our Schools’ Liaison Office has a major role to play in strengthening links between AIT and second level schools/colleges. For prospective students, considering options at third level education can be challenging. The Schools’ Liaison Officer and institute staff provide a welcoming and friendly service to make the transition from second to third level education as stress-free as possible.
The institute organises a comprehensive programme of school visits and information events. Amongst the services provided are:
- School visits: institute representatives are delighted to visit schools to talk to students about AIT and to answer any questions which may be raised. Detailed talks on individual courses and disciplines may also be organised.
- Student for a day: students are welcome to visit and join classes for a day (by prior arrangement).
- Participation in careers’ exhibitions/fairs.
- Information sessions for school principals and guidance counsellors.
