Keith Vaugh

Principal Investigator

Keith Vaugh graduated from the University of Limerick with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1997 and subsequently joined the Athlone Institute of Technology as a member of the academic staff in 1999. In 2002, he graduated from the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology with a Masters of Engineering by research. The focus of his research was New Product Development and RPTM. He has continued to focus research efforts in this area and has been successful in obtaining almost €700,000 in funding since establishing himself as research leader at the CNMR. He has published case studies with the Global Alliance of Rapid Prototyping Associations (GARPA) and presented papers at Annual International Manufacturing Conferences held in Ireland. At present there are five researchers working with Keith examining the benefits that RPTM can have on the injection and blow moulding processes. They have published their initial findings in the International Journal of Manufacturing Research. Two additional researchers will be joining them in the coming weeks.
